Intent
We are passionate about our art forms and share the love of our subjects with the students, through our curriculum and enrichment programme.
- We teach students to be creative, to perform, apply, respond, and reflect.
- We provide transferable skills to every aspect of student’s curriculum at Oxted, and beyond in the wider world.
- We build the students confidence in their own ability, helping them understand themselves, communicate and relate with others. This is especially relevant post-COVID where students’ self-esteem is lower than we have ever seen.
- We provide a positive safe space; the strong relationships we have with our students exemplifies the trust and high expectations we have of them.
- We create the feeling of ‘belonging’ to Oxted School and students and staff are proud to be part of our community.
