Supporting Looked After and Post-Looked After Children

At Oxted School, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and supported. This includes our Looked After Children (LAC) those currently in the care of the local authority and Post-Looked After Children (PLAC), those who have previously been in care and are now living in permanent arrangements such as adoption, special guardianship, or child arrangements orders.

We understand that these children may have experienced challenges that impact their education and wellbeing. Our dedicated team works closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide:

  • Tailored academic and pastoral support to help every child thrive
  • Access to emotional wellbeing resources and mentoring
  • Strong communication between school and home to ensure consistency and care
  • Priority access to interventions and enrichment opportunities

If you are a parent or carer of a LAC or PLAC child, please let us know so we can work together to provide the best possible support.
