Textiles
Intent
Textiles allows students to develop creativity, confidence and independence through working with fabrics and mixed media as a form of artistic expression.
Students gain practical skills in techniques such as stitch, embellishment, print and fabric manipulation, while also developing strong drawing, design and visual communication skills. This is informed by artists and cultural contexts, enabling students to produce personal, meaningful outcomes through experimentation, refinement and reflection.
