Match Report Y10 and Y11 Girls Rugby Tournament

Fourteen Year 10 and Year 11 girls took part in a RFU emerging schools rugby tournament at Tooting and Mitcham FC.

The day started with some Tag matches against Quest Academy and St Bedes School, with some excellent passing and exciting attacking runs, Oxted were victorious in both matches.

The girls then received an introduction to tackling by RFU coaches. With their new technical knowledge the girls then went into a 7-aside game Oxted A v Oxted B.

There were some great individual performances with some very affective tackling from Molly Rose and Megan Dornan but player of the tournament was Summer Dyer with a collection of try's against a very affective St Bedes team.

The Oxted girls did themselves proud and showed a great deal of creativity and talent. Hopefully with Monday training, we can make a real impact at the next tournament in February.
