Sixth Form RAG Week

Friday 18 March to Thursday 24 March 2016

Parents may already be aware that in the final week of this term the Sixth Form come together as a community and work together to raise money for charities nominated by the students and supported by the Sixth Form.

Last year the students raised over £4,000 and I estimate that collectively the students have raised over £20,000 from past years. This year our chosen charities are ‘Young Epilepsy UK’, which seeks to raise money to support children with epilepsy. This is a charity of significant importance to Owen Thurston in Year 12 who is a superb ambassador for the Young Epilepsy UK charity. Our second charity is ‘All as One’, a charity that supports children living in poverty in Sierra Leone. This is a charity of significant importance to Mason Kirby in Year 13. Both charities have been chosen by the Sixth Form Council.

If you would like more information on the amazing work of these charities then please visit their websites www.allasone.org.uk and www.youngepilepsy.org.uk

If, as a parent, you would like to make a contribution towards either of these charities, then you can do so by going to the online payments system where you will find ‘Rag Week Donations’. If you do not have a Pupil Link Code, please contact the Finance Office financesf@oxtedschool.co.uk.
