DofE Award Ceremony

Oxted School’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme has experienced its most successful year to date this year, with a record 256 participants collecting their awards at a Celebration Ceremony. Through a focus on quality of delivery, the Oxted School has grown to become one of the top 10 school-based centres in the South East.

“We are absolutely delighted to recognise each individual’s success and dedication to their Award”, said Award Leader Daniel Crowhurst. “Not only have they overcome the challenges of the Expeditions, they have also enhanced the reputation of their age group within the community through their positive commitment to voluntary work”.

The Ceremony also featured an inspiring presentation by Peter Faulding, who is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading specialists in confined space rescue and forensic search.
